Borders business groups join together to host open meeting on mentoring
Friday, 22nd April 2016 – 8.30 for 9.00 a.m. - Venue: Council Chambers, Newtown St Boswells
On Friday 22 April, Scottish Borders Business Forum, Scottish Borders Chamber of Commerce and Scottish Borders Exporters Association will together hold an open meeting to identify companies that would be interested in participating in a mentoring programme.
The meeting will be held in the Council Chamber at Scottish Borders Council Headquarters, Newtown St Boswells, 8.30am for 9am start, and will last no longer than two hours.
It has long been felt that there will be businesses and entrepreneurs in the Borders that would benefit from mentoring and two schemes are currently available. This open meeting is for all local businesses, large or small, that wish to grow their business and are interested in finding out more about mentoring and the associated benefits.
The two mentoring schemes currently available are provided by Scottish Enterprise, via Scottish Borders Chamber of Commerce and from Scottish Development International, via the Scottish Borders Exporters Association.
At the meeting, international coach and mentor Helen Anco will explain the difference between coaching and mentoring and speakers from Scottish Chambers of Commerce and Scottish Development International will outline their mentoring schemes, both of which are available at no cost to the companies.
The presentations will be followed by a panel question and answer session.
This is an excellent opportunity for companies and individuals who want to grow their business. The advice and guidance of a mentor is invaluable.
