Scotmas Group is a dynamic business which has grown rapidly to become one of the world’s leaders in water treatment, hygiene and environmental care technologies.

Combining a consultative approach, with world leading products developed in-house or in conjunction with one of our many research partners around the world, Scotmas are able to offer a flexible, global, problem solving approach that is simply unparalleled.

Scotmas lead the field in the application of chlorine dioxide (ClO2) technology. First discovered in the 19th  Century, the potential for ClO2 to be an effective alternative to toxicand environmentally damaging biocides was long acknowledged, however a number of practical challenges restricted its use to the largest applications.

Scotmas were the first company to produce a simpler, easy to use “stabilised” chlorine dioxide in Europe, opening up new markets in the food industry, building services and healthcare.

Scotmas are also at the forefront of developing and commercialising a range of bioaugmentation & biostimulation products designed to improve the efficiency of industrial and waste water treatment systems. Working with our academic partners, we have successfully isolated and cultured a range of commercially useful microorganisms from the natural environment, and use these at the core of our “biological” range.
